The Children’s Ministry Department of the Restoration Praise Center exists to coordinate all of the ministries for children; to recruit, screen, equip and support children’s leaders; to be an advocate for children; sets the curriculum for all activities related to children and to be a liaison with the local conference for the sharing of information and data. We ensure our little ones - its most precious resource and its future, can have a safe and Christ-centered worship experience.

Vision: Children's Ministry is dedicated to reaching out to all children and sharing the Good News and winning souls for Jesus Christ. In addition, its core purpose is to plant a solid foundation of faith, hope and love in each child so that they can become stable, centered Christ-like citizens of this world.

 

Mission Statement: To instill Godly values and morals in our lives, enabling us to be a light to the world.  We will be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you (Ephesians 4:32 NIV). Lower Sabbath School Division: Our Children’s Sabbath School starts at 9:30 a.m. every Sabbath morning.  Our Sabbath School encourages our children to learn more about God through a wonderful Christian and Bible based curriculum that focuses on Grace, Worship, Community and Service. 

Our Sabbath School is divided into 6 classes:

Beginners: 0 – 2 years of age

Kindergarten: 3-5 years of age

Primary: 6-10 years of age

Earliteen: 11-15 years of age

Youth: 16- 18 years of age

Announcements

Sabbath School Teachers are needed to teach our children and youth. We especially need teachers for the beginners and kindergarten classes. Children’s Story Ministry: During our divine hour service on Sabbath at Restoration Praise Center, we have a Children’s Storyteller who shares a story for our children. This interactive story is to engage our children in the service and share Biblical lessons that is essential to their spiritual walk with God.

Vacation Bible School: Save the date: Vacation Bible School at RPC is finally here on Friday, July 8 - Sunday, July 10th!  We will be at the inside  Capital Christian Fellowship  (our current location) - 10411 Greenbelt Road, Lanham, MD 20706 and need all parents to immediately register your child(ren).  Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8th. Vacation Bible School Ministry: Each summer, our children (ages 4 – 11 years old) enjoy a summer program in the evening times that is focused on a specific Biblical principle. This interactive program has a traditional worship experience along with activity centers that reinforces the theme of the week. For 2011, our Vacation Bible School Coordinators are Dana Vincent and Marcia Hamilton and our theme is Gone Fishing! October 8: Kids Fun Night and Parenting Class 

Kids Fun Night – October 8, 2011 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. for ages 4-11 years old.

Volunteer Opportunity – We are in search of 30 energetic volunteers to help us for our Community Kids Fun Night.
 
Parents – Join us and enjoy FREE games, food and music. Parenting Seminar offered for parents with children ages 4-11 years of age from 8:45 pm to 9:30 pm.
